* Therefore (formal) có thể đứng ở nhiều vị trí trong câu , còn so (informal) chỉ có 1 vị trí duy nhất là giữa 2 mệnh đề. Trước therefore có 1 dấu chấm (.), chấm phẩy (; ) hoặc dấu phẩy (,), sau therefore có 1 dấu phẩy (,). Còn so thì trước nó có 1 dấu phẩy (,) nhưng sau nó thì không có.
Eg:
• Peter didn't study. Therefore, he failed the exam. = Peter didn't study. He, therefore, failed the exam = Peter didn't study. He failed the exam, therefore.
• Peter didn't study, so he failed the exam.
